7 Texts That Bring Customers Back

Seven proven text message templates for reactivating past customers, with timing and tone notes for each.

Texts are the workhorse of reactivation: short, personal, and read within minutes. Here are seven templates that work, with notes on when to use each.

1. The simple check-in

"Hi [Name], it's [Business]. It's been a while since your last [service] — want to get on the schedule before [season]?" Works because it is specific and gives a reason to act now.

2. The quote nudge

"Hi [Name], following up on the quote from [month]. Still want to move ahead, or should I answer any questions?" Zero pressure, surfaces ready buyers.

3. The seasonal trigger

"[Season] is coming — we're booking [service] now. Want a spot?" Timing does the selling.

4. The interval reminder

"Hi [Name], you're due for your [service] based on your last visit in [month]. Easy to book: [link]"

5. The we-miss-you offer

"We haven't seen you in a while! Here's [offer] if you'd like to come back this month." Use sparingly and with a real, margin-safe offer.

6. The close-the-file

"Should I keep your quote open, or close the file for now?" The single highest-reply message in reactivation.

7. The referral ask

"Glad we could help with [job]! If you know anyone who needs [service], we'd appreciate the intro." Sent only to recent happy customers.

Rules that apply to all seven

Use their name. Reference their actual history. One clear ask. And always get the owner's approval before anything sends — the way every CallMyCustomers campaign runs.
