5 Reminder Types Every Service Business Should Automate

Back to Insights

Repeat revenue rarely comes from brilliance. It comes from being the business that reached out at the right moment. Here are the five reminder types that cover nearly every recurring need a service business has.

1. Seasonal reminders

Pre-season tune-ups, spring and fall maintenance, holiday timing. Land the reminder 3–6 weeks before the need returns.

2. Interval reminders

Tied to each customer's actual last visit — oil changes every 5,000 miles, cleanings every six months, filters every quarter. History-based, not calendar-blasted.

3. Renewal reminders

Memberships, maintenance plans, and warranties. Start 30–45 days before the lapse, not after.

4. Recare and recall visits

Clinics and studios: the patient or client who is due back. Personal, specific, and easy to book.

5. Post-job check-ins

A 24–72 hour satisfaction check after every completed job. It prevents bad reviews, generates good ones, and opens the next booking conversation naturally.

None of this requires new customers. It requires a system — which is what we build.
